Fubilan Catering Services (FCS) has been Ok Tedi Mining Limited’s (OTML) main caterer for the past 20 years. Being a locally owned business, FCS has strong ties with the surrounding communities of the Star Mountains area. This local ownership guarantees that the positive impact of our activities is visible in the community while improving the authenticity of our services.
Over the course of its two-decade collaboration with Ok Tedi, FCS has established a powerful reputation for providing top-notch culinary services that are customised to meet the requirements of the mine and its employees. By offering wholesome meals to staff members and taking unique dietary needs into account, FCS is dedicated to creating a productive and healthy workplace.
Given the difficulties presented by a remote mining site, our staff take delight in making sure that each meal is a source of comfort and sustenance for the hardworking people of Ok Tedi.

In 2005, we were the first private company in Papua New Guinea to receive accreditation as a registered Training Organisation. Since the company's inception, over seventy-five of our employees have earned formal qualifications in hospitality operations, and the number continues to grow.
Our organization maintains rigorous employment standards, which necessitate that candidates applying for catering positions and trades roles successfully complete both theoretical and practical examinations. A comprehensive framework for succession planning has been implemented to ensure the continuity of business operations and facilitate employees' progression along a well-defined career path.

The recent contract we signed with the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) and its School of Medicine represents a significant step forward for our partnership. The goal of this strategic alliance is to empower the upcoming generation of medical professionals and promote regional educational efforts. By offering culinary services to UPNG, FCS expands its operating reach outside Tabubil.
Ok Tedi's goal of enabling landowner businesses to thrive is in line with this approach. We are dedicated to upholding and replicating the standards of quality and service excellence set by Ok Tedi at UPNG as FCS transitions into this new field.
